Meet Igor, the production engineer who oversees warehouse operations at Sancoffee and read his story about what drives him in his job.
What drives you as a person?
What really motivates me in my job and life in general is the opportunity to tackle challenges, support my colleagues, and push myself to see just how much I can achieve.
What's your background?
I studied Production Engineer at University Center of Lavras. Sancoffee is my first job that opened the door for the market for me. Thanks to Sancoffee, I've fallen in love with coffee and the whole process. I also wanted to deepen my knowledge of production and quality and apply it to my work. The company's encouragement also played a big part in my choice!
What do you do at Sancoffee?
Here at Sancoffee, I am responsible for the operations in the warehouse, ensuring that every batch of specialty coffee is carefully received, stored, and prepared for export. My role is important for preserving the unique qualities of each coffee, from managing humidity control to tracking every step of the beans' journey.

What is impact for you?
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is seeing the tangible impact we can have on people’s lives through our actions. It’s not just about producing coffee; it’s about the commitment to quality and the dedication we put into every step of the process that make someone's life better.
How do you like your coffee?
I’m a big fan of filter coffee—smooth, with remarkable flavors. It’s a small reminder of the passion we all share for making great coffee.
What do you love most about your job?
Here at Sancoffee, the values and principles of always delivering the best product are what I admire the most. It’s truly satisfying to see our hard work reflected in the final product, especially when we know that each cup of coffee we produce has been crafted with care and precision.
What do you feel most excited about in 2024?
We are very excited about the results of our work so far. With the new facilities we're more confident that we'll be able to maintain productivity and quality, as we can receive the coffees more safely and productively.
