Meet Pedro, a Controller Assistant at Sancoffee who is driven by a passion for learning, personal growth, and helping others. With a talent for keeping things organized and running smoothly, he’s dedicated to making a positive impact in everything he does—both at work and in the world around him.
What drives you as a person?
I’m motivated by the constant desire to grow and learn. I believe we’re always evolving, and that keeps me excited to challenge myself every day. I also feel happy when I can help others - whether it’s sharing what I know or offering support. For me, life is about improving myself while also making a difference for the people around me.
What's your background?
I have always been interested in the world of coffee, and over time, I delved deeper into the field. My experience began in 2017 at a multinational coffee-producing company, where I gained a better understanding of the industry. Additionally, I sought to specialize by taking courses in barista skills, coffee grading, and cupping. This exposure to different aspects of the coffee supply chain further fueled my passion for the field, and since then, I have continued working with coffee, always striving to learn and improve. In terms of education, I am finishing my degree in Public Administration at UFLA.
What do you do at Sancoffee?
My role at Sancoffee is to provide support in matters related to the export and logistics process. I help with the day-to-day tasks of our export and control teams. My job is to make sure everything runs smoothly and stays organized, so we can keep things efficient. It’s all about making the process work better for everyone.

What is impact for you?
For me, impact is the effect our actions, words, or attitudes have on the people and world around us. Even small things can make a big difference.
How do you like your coffee?
I’m a fan of all kinds of coffee—filter, fermented, espresso—you name it. For me, coffee isn’t just about the taste. It’s about the stories and feelings that come with it. A good cup of coffee connects people and creates moments to remember.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most is being encouraged to learn and take on new things. I get to improve processes and see how my ideas make a difference. It’s inspiring to work in a place that values growth.
What do you feel most excited about 2025?
This year, I want to push myself even more and contribute to Sancoffee’s success. I plan to keep learning and improving, aiming for better results that help both the company and the people around me.
